What areas do you cover?
We work across the whole of the UK wherever our expertise is needed. Most of our work is centred around England and Wales, but we are happy to go wherever our specialist damp proofing and conversion knowledge is required.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes we do. The length and type of guarantee can vary depending on the work carried out, so check your proposal documents or ask one of the team for full details.
What will it cost?
Our bespoke proposals provide a complete breakdown of costs, as well as a full specification including computer-produced diagrams detailing the work to be completed. There will be no nasty surprises, and any extra work required will be mutually agreed before it is carried out.
What are your payment terms?
An initial booking fee is required to cover materials costs and initial expenses, with the balance due in full upon completion of the work. For longer projects, such as complete basement or barn conversions, stage payments can be arranged. Payment terms will be detailed on your individual proposal.
Do you have references?
Yes - we are happy for you to talk to our previous customers and can supply testimonials to our standard of work and quality of service.
Will there be lots of different tradesmen on site?
Depending on the project, there may be different skills required throughout the job such as plumbing, plastering, tiling or electrical services, for example. The good news is that Conifer's team are highly skilled and can, if required, complete all aspects of conversion projects from start to finish. Our team all wear branded Conifer shirts and our liveried vehicles are easily recognised too, so you'll know exactly who's who! We normally only involve other contractors where electrical work or heating installation is required and for this we have reliable partner companies that we recommend and can liaise with on your behalf so that the project runs smoothly.
Are you easy to contact?
Yes! Our main office is usually manned during normal office hours, so you'll be able to talk to someone even if the team are out on site, and even if we do miss your call, e-mails and voicemails are always replied to promptly as a matter of principle and policy.
