These terms form the basis of the contract between the Customer ("You") and Conifer Property Services Ltd ("The Company"). By signing our acceptance form or otherwise instructing The Company, You accept and agree to abide by the terms set out below.
1. BOOKING FEE
Any delay in receiving your booking fee may delay the commencement of work, as materials cannot be ordered until the booking fee has cleared. Your personal estimate / quotation will specify the exact booking fee required for your job, which will include up-front materials costs.
2. EXTRA WORKS
Any requests for additional work not quoted in the original estimate are subject to charges. Should You request any additional work either verbally, in writing or by e-mail, You agree to pay the standard rate for any additional time and / or materials necessary.
All figures quoted are estimates and are valid for 28 days unless otherwise stated. Unforeseen problems beyond the Company's reasonable control and requests for extra work (see above) will be charged at the standard rate. You may request a written estimate for any additional work before it is undertaken.
Payment is due in full at the time of completion* by cash, cheque or bank transfer. We are unable to offer credit and prices are not negotiable after work has commenced. All materials remain the property of the Company until all payments are made in full *For larger projects, weekly instalments will be payable with any outstanding balance due at final completion.
5. LATE PAYMENT
No credit will be given under any circumstances. We reserve the right to charge interest at a reasonable rate on any overdue amounts and to pass outstanding debts to a collection agency for recovery. We also reserve to right to pass on any costs incurred in recovering outstanding payments to the Customer.
6. DEBT RECOVERY
Where necessary, we will actively seek to recover outstanding amounts with a dedicated Debt Recovery service. Should this action become necessary, the costs involved will be added to the amount due and will be payable by the Customer.
Should access to the property be impeded or delayed, the Company reserves the right to charge accordingly. We request complete access to the work areas and that the work areas should be cleared, if the areas are not cleared and the Customer requests that any furniture or fittings are moved by the Company's personnel, the Customer assumes all responsibility for any damage caused by the moving of items from the work area and also accepts that a charge may be incurred should undue work time be lost due to clearing the work area.
8. BUILDING CONTROL AND PLANNING
The Customer is responsible for engaging a Building Control officer and any and all requirements concerning planning permissions.
We reserve the right to change or substitute personnel at the discretion of the Company.
Any instruction to the Company, whether verbal, written or electronic, to undertake any work constitutes the Customer's acceptance of and agreement to these terms and conditions.
All proposals, quotes, advice and diagrams are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, show, disclose, publish, broadcast or circulate the information to any third party without the express consent of The Company. We reserve the right to, and will, sue for breach of copyright or loss of business caused by disclosure of this information to other suppliers, tradesmen, competitors or any other third party.
